  • Deep dive into the Rust Ownership model: Move semantics, Borrowing & Lifetimes (`'a`)
  • Memory layout: Stack vs. Heap allocation, Smart Pointers (`Box`, `Rc`, `Arc`, `Mutex`)
  • Pattern matching, Enums, Error Handling (`Result`, `Option`, `anyhow`, `thiserror`)

2 Traits, Generics & Zero-Cost Abstractions

Live Milestone
  • Defining custom Traits, Generic bounds, Trait Objects (`dyn Trait`) & dynamic dispatch
  • Iterators, closures & zero-cost abstractions in standard library algorithms
  • Operator overloading, `Deref` / `Drop` trait implementations for RAII resource management

3 Asynchronous Rust & Tokio Multi-Threaded Runtime

  • Async/Await internal mechanics, `Future` trait & state machines
  • The Tokio async runtime: Task spawning, cooperative multitasking & time-outs
  • Channels for actor-model concurrency (`mpsc`, `broadcast`, `oneshot`, `watch`)
  • Fearless Concurrency: `Send` and `Sync` traits, preventing race conditions at compile time

4 High-Throughput REST & gRPC Microservices with Axum

Live Milestone
  • Building lightning-fast REST microservices using Axum and Tower middleware
  • State extraction, JSON serialization with Serde, and JWT authentication flows
  • High-performance gRPC services with Tonic and Protocol Buffers (protobuf)
  • Structured tracing and logging using the `tracing` ecosystem and OpenTelemetry

5 Compile-Time SQL Verification & Redis Caching

  • Type-safe, compile-time verified database queries using SQLx with PostgreSQL
  • Database connection pooling, migrations & ACID transaction boundaries
  • High-speed distributed caching with Redis and async connection multiplexing
  • Benchmarking API throughput and memory consumption with `criterion` and `wrk`

6 WebAssembly, Distroless Containerization & Sign-off

  • Compiling Rust to WebAssembly (WASM) with `wasm-pack` for in-browser high-performance computing
  • Multi-stage Docker builds producing ultra-lightweight (<15MB) Distroless production containers
