Role Overview

Master modern test automation with Microsoft Playwright. As an SDET intern in our software studio, you will build ultra-fast, zero-flakiness test frameworks with TypeScript, implement CI/CD test sharding in GitHub Actions, and automate complex modern web applications.

  • TypeScript project setup, Playwright config tuning, Git Flow & Jira sprint planning
  • Resilient Locators: `getByRole`, `getByText`, `getByTestId` and avoiding flaky XPath
  • Auto-waiting mechanism and Web-First assertions (`expect(locator).toBeVisible()`)

2 Enterprise Page Object Model & Fixture Architecture

Live Milestone
  • Clean Page Object Model (POM) design patterns with strict TypeScript typing
  • Custom Playwright Test Fixtures for dependency injection and automatic session setup
  • Multi-context browser isolation, storage state reuse & bypassing login flows
  • Handling multi-tab browsing, iframes, shadow DOM, file uploads & download verification

3 Integrated API Testing, Network Interception & Mocking

  • Direct API testing with Playwright `request` context for backend verification
  • Network route mocking (`page.route()`) to simulate 500 server crashes & delayed network responses
  • HAR file recording and playback for offline deterministic test execution
  • Validating JSON schema payloads and response headers automatically

4 Visual Regression & Cross-Device Emulation

  • Pixel-perfect visual comparison testing with `toMatchSnapshot()`
  • Managing visual diff thresholds, masking dynamic timestamps & dynamic UI elements
  • Cross-browser execution across Chromium, Firefox, and WebKit engines simultaneously
  • Mobile view emulation (iPhone, Pixel viewports, touch gestures, geolocation & dark mode)

5 High-Speed CI/CD Sharding & Cloud Parallelization

  • Parallel test execution with multi-worker configurations
  • Splitting test suites across multiple GitHub Actions runner matrix jobs (Sharding)
  • Running Playwright inside official Microsoft Docker containers
  • Publishing rich Allure Reports, Playwright HTML trace viewer artifacts & video recordings

6 Playwright MCP, AI Testing & Production Sign-off

  • Integrating Playwright Model Context Protocol (MCP) and AI test generation agents
  • Simulating real-world chaos testing and user journeys on live staging apps
  • Conducting release test sign-offs and writing automated regression suites
  • Final SDET automation framework defense, code walkthrough & verified GitHub sign-off
