2 Declarative UI with Jetpack Compose

  • Building declarative UIs with Jetpack Compose layouts (Box, Column, Row, LazyColumn)
  • State hoisting, Compose Recomposition optimization & custom modifiers
  • Material 3 Design implementation, dynamic theming & dark mode support
  • Navigation Compose: Type-safe arguments, nested navigation graphs & deep links

3 Clean Architecture, ViewModel & Dependency Injection

Live Milestone
  • MVVM Clean Architecture: Separation of UI, ViewModel, UseCases, and Repositories
  • Dependency injection with Dagger Hilt (`@HiltViewModel`, `@Inject`)
  • StateFlow & SharedFlow for reactive UI state observation
  • Local database persistence with Room ORM, TypeConverters & database migrations

4 Networking, Background Work & Device APIs

  • RESTful API integration with Retrofit 2, OkHttp interceptors & Moshi/Kotlinx Serialization
  • Background processing with WorkManager (Periodic sync, constraint-based execution)
  • Hardware integration: CameraX, Location Services & Runtime Permissions
  • Push notifications using Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM)

5 Automated Testing & App Optimization

  • Unit testing ViewModels, Coroutines & UseCases with JUnit 5 and MockK
