Role Overview

Join the vanguard of decentralized protocol engineering. In this Blockchain & Smart Contract Development Internship, you will architect real-world decentralized protocols and Web3 applications directly in professional developer environments utilizing Foundry (Forge, Cast, Anvil), Hardhat, and Solidity 0.8.x. Working in small collaborative engineering pods, you will write gas-optimized smart contracts, develop DeFi Automated Market Makers, implement dynamic NFT staking ecosystems, conduct security vulnerability audits with Slither, and deploy verifiable contracts to live public testnets.

  • Cryptographic foundations: SHA-256, Keccak-256, Merkle Trees, and asymmetric public-key cryptography (ECDSA)
  • Ethereum account models: Externally Owned Accounts (EOAs), Smart Contracts, Nonces, and the global world state trie
  • Configuring developer toolchains: VS Code, Git, Foundry (Forge, Cast, Anvil), Hardhat, and configuring RPC endpoints
  • First smart contract in Solidity: Compilation, gas estimation, and local deployment using Anvil

2 Solidity 0.8.x Syntax, Storage Mechanics & Gas Optimization

  • Solidity data structures: Mappings, arrays, structs, storage layouts, and memory vs calldata pointers
  • Control flow, custom modifiers, interfaces, abstract contracts, and OpenZeppelin security libraries
  • EVM gas optimization: 32-byte storage slot packing, caching array lengths, and custom gas-efficient error reverts
  • Deterministic deployments: CREATE vs CREATE2 address generation and factory contract design patterns

3 Foundry Test-Driven Development (TDD) & Invariant Fuzzing

  • Writing unit tests in Solidity using Forge: Assertions, expectations, and `console2.log` debugging
  • Foundry Cheatcodes: `vm.prank`, `vm.warp`, `vm.deal`, and simulating multi-user state transitions
  • Fuzzing and Invariant Testing: Generating property-based inputs to detect edge-case logic failures
  • Mainnet Forking: Testing decentralized interactions against live Ethereum mainnet liquidity states without gas costs
