Course Curriculum

1. Computer Networking Internals & Kali Linux Foundation

  • TCP/IP and OSI reference models: Packet encapsulation, Ethernet frames, IP headers, and TCP/UDP flags
  • Deep packet inspection with Wireshark: Analyzing 3-way handshakes, ARP cache poisoning, and DNS rebinding
  • Kali Linux command-line mastery: File system hierarchy, process management, permissions, and SSH tunneling
  • Bash scripting for penetration testers: Writing automated network scanners and log parsers
  • Setting up virtualized offensive laboratories: Host-only networking, target sandboxes, and snapshot rollbacks

2. Advanced Network Reconnaissance & Port Scanning with Nmap

  • The 5 phases of ethical hacking: Passive and active intelligence gathering workflows
  • Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT): Shodan, Censys, WHOIS, DNS zone transfers, and Google dorking
  • Nmap deep dive: TCP SYN stealth (-sS), UDP scanning (-sU), OS fingerprinting (-O), and aggressive scans (-A)
  • Nmap Scripting Engine (NSE): Discovering vulnerabilities and brute-forcing credentials using Lua scripts
  • Bypassing enterprise firewalls and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS): Fragmented packets, decoy IPs, and source port manipulation

3. Vulnerability Assessment & The Metasploit Framework

  • Vulnerability scanning with Nessus and OpenVAS: Scanning policies, credentialed vs non-credentialed scans, and false positive reduction
  • Metasploit Framework architecture: MSFConsole, auxiliary modules, exploits, payloads (staged vs non-staged), and encoders
  • Meterpreter fundamentals: Post-exploitation commands, process migration, screen capturing, and keystroke logging
  • Weaponizing CVE public exploits: Compiling raw C exploits, modifying shellcode, and launching targeted attacks against vulnerable daemons
  • Antivirus and EDR evasion basics: Payload obfuscation, Veil framework, and custom encoded reverse shells

4. Web Application Penetration Testing & OWASP Top 10

  • Web security architecture: HTTP request/response headers, cookies, sessions, and same-origin policy (SOP)
  • Burp Suite Professional setup: Proxy interception, Target sitemap, Intruder brute-forcing, and Repeater workflows
  • SQL Injection (SQLi): Error-based, Union-based, and Blind SQL injection with manual verification and SQLMap automation
  • Cross-Site Scripting (XSS): Reflected, Stored, and DOM-based XSS attacks; cookie hijacking and session token theft
  • Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF), Insecure Direct Object References (IDOR/BOLA), and Broken Access Controls
  • Automated API security testing: Intercepting REST/GraphQL endpoints with Postman and Burp Suite extensions

5. System Hacking & Privilege Escalation (Linux & Windows)

  • Initial access strategies: Reverse TCP shells, bind shells, and Netcat / Socat listener configurations
  • Linux Privilege Escalation: Exploiting SUID/SGID binaries, misconfigured sudo rules, writable /etc/passwd, and cron job hijacking
  • Linux kernel exploitation: Identifying vulnerable kernel versions and executing local privilege escalation (LPE) exploits
  • Windows Privilege Escalation: Unquoted service paths, weak service permissions, Registry autoruns, and AlwaysInstallElevated
  • Token Impersonation & Potato exploits: Elevating from service accounts to NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM using RottenPotato / JuicyPotato

6. Enterprise Active Directory (AD) Penetration Testing

  • Active Directory fundamentals: Domain Controllers, Kerberos authentication protocol, LDAP, and Trust relationships
  • AD enumeration with BloodHound and SharpHound: Mapping attack paths to Domain Admin status
  • Kerberos attacks: Kerberoasting service accounts (SPNs) and cracking ticket hashes offline with Hashcat
  • AS-REP Roasting: Targeting user accounts without Kerberos pre-authentication enabled
  • Credential dumping: Extracting plaintext passwords and NTLM hashes from LSASS memory using Mimikatz
  • Lateral movement techniques: Pass-the-Hash (PtH), WMI execution, and PsExec remote commands

7. Wireless Security, Password Cracking & Cryptography

  • Wireless 802.11 standards: WEP, WPA2-PSK, and WPA3 security architectures and 4-way handshake analysis
  • Wireless attacks with Aircrack-ng suite: Monitor mode, deauthentication frames, packet capture, and wordlist attacks
  • Password cracking science: Hash types (MD5, SHA-256, NTLM, bcrypt), dictionary attacks, rule-based attacks with Hashcat and John the Ripper
  • Cryptography in practice: Symmetric (AES) vs Asymmetric (RSA/ECC) encryption, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), and TLS certificate validation
  • Social Engineering fundamentals: Spear phishing vectors, credential harvesting with GoPhish, and OSINT profiling

8. Enterprise VAPT Reporting, CTF Challenges & Capstone Defense

  • Drafting professional VAPT reports: Executive summaries, methodology, CVSS v3.1 severity metrics, and remediation roadmaps
  • ISO 27001, CERT-In, and NIST Cybersecurity Framework compliance mapping
  • Competitive internal Capture-The-Flag (CTF) tournament: Rooting Easy, Medium, and Hard vulnerable enterprise machines
  • Ethical disclosures and Bug Bounty platforms (HackerOne, Bugcrowd) guidelines and rules of engagement
  • Capstone Defense: End-to-End Enterprise Network Security Assessment with Live Exploitation and Executive Debrief
